This is the personal website of Alex, compulsive C programmer and unixhead. There is absolutely no ideology, leftist or otherwise, behind these software projects. Making computing fun for oneself, sharing it with others, because others cared to share with you, and a prevailing tendency to keep things simple is what it's all about mainly.
Software needn't be free as in freedom, but making it open-source (at least after EOS/EOL) for the same reason trucks and motorcycles could have a service manual included in their paperwork, may not hurt capitalism a bit as much as it may help humanity, allowing to retain the value of effort and creative thought put into the development.
The fastestcode.org domain name is a homage to Michael Abrash's '90s book Black Book of Graphics Programming, which in a way exemplifies how much fun computer programming eventually can be, if not burdened by corporate efficiency paradigms and scholar devised rules. Software development is art as much as it's tech, one's got to have some more Bob Ross or... Phil Anselmo attitude towards it.
